The musical work Rêve d’étoiles (Dream of Stars) has been written on the proposition of the great french violonist Christophe Boulier, First Prize of « Jacques Thibaud » musical compétition (Paris), in August 2000.
It presents the special feature to be able to be played in a music chamber formation – violin and piano – or by the piano solo. It has a single form but with three parts : a refrain-theme regularly heard and two secondary elements as irregular verses.
The musical langage is free but connected to the tonal system in an obvious way and always present by watermark. The writing is very melodic and even lyric often but with quiet and discretion. This work is, in a volontary way, sensible, clear and accessible.
