The piece was composed with the idea of being used as dance music. After improvisational piano introduction turns into the Tango rhythm, the violin begins and is supported by this rhythm.
The contrasting middle section allows the two instruments to continue the dialog in a much slower tempo. The last section uses the principal theme with the same elements of the beginning.
Despite certain stylistic and ensemble difficulties, the pièce is pleasing to the artists, and permits the listener to be swept away by dance music.
