In the early '80's, while tonally harmonizing the whole-tone scale (in opposition to Debussy's modal solution), the composer discovered a singular tonal harmonic configuration out of which De Sibilla was born, followed by many other works. BAC"H"'s name, fortuitously superimposable on this harmony, determined the choice of the dark atmosphere of B flat minor. The latin text is from Virgil's Eclogue IV.
